Jesus is all!
Our completeness
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power." — Col 2:8-10
We Christians must come to understand, firmly believe and walk in the light of our union with Christ and all that is provided IN Him. Otherwise we will be easy targets for Satan to spoil; directly, or indirectly through others. There is NO other way; NO other means that will make us His effective witnesses. Beware! What appears good and right to our human reason and feelings, might conflict with biblical truth and bring impairment or destruction to true faith and our walk (Jn 14:6; Jn 15:5). "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy" (Jn 10:10a).
Christ’s divine nature can be revealed through us in only one way ... by that privileged abiding in Him through faith (Jn 15:5; Gal 5:6). "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" (Gal 2:20). We are complete ONLY in the One "in whom dwells the fulness of the Godhead bodily." In Him alone will OUR completeness be found; all that pertains to life and godliness (2Pet 1:3). Since our regeneration, we have been sovereignly "hid with Christ in God" (Col 3:3). We have been miraculously and mercifully enjoined with ALL that Christ eternally embodies: His perfection, His glory; the fulness of His every attribute and power. Nothing less! (Eph 2:4-10). "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God." It’s ALL in Christ. Hallelujah!
Three disciples of Christ’s glimpsed His glory when "He was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light" (Mt 17:2). Daniel also saw Him "... clothed in linen, whose loins [were] girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also [was] like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude" (Dan 10:5,6). Why would we seek ANY other way to live, but of abiding in HIM; in HIS glorious life? The Lord of lords and King of kings! Oh, dear saint, as we work out our salvation in Him, why settle for anything less? We have it all in HIM! — D.
