Lord, You Know!

"He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?" — Ps 94:9

Events of recent years are providing increasing evidence that these surely are the last days.  Sweeping changes are taking place: political, economic and cultural.  Even the church is increasingly threatened by thinking, methods and programs that undermine historic Christianity.  Those who understand God’s straight-forward Scriptures cry out for divine intervention: “Lord, do something!  Surely You see and KNOW!”

During the Trojan war, the Greek army conceived a brilliant plan to breach the fortified walls and massive gates of the coastal city of Troy.  A huge, hollow wooden horse on wheels was built, filled with soldiers and left at the city’s gates.  Unaware of its deadly cargo, this imagined prize was later dragged into Troy and the gates quickly secured.  History records that after dark, those soldiers debarked, unbolted the gates and the Greek army flooded in to raze the city.  Likewise, many Christians have, and are falling victim to enemy-inspired “Trojan horses” invited into the church in the name of church-growth, relevancy, etc.  The gates have been flung wide open; the red carpet unrolled, and the enemy is ravaging!  Oh Lord, You KNOW!

Oh, how merciful God is!  His love and faithfulness never fail (2 Ch 36:14,15).  Personally, He is progressively leading us out of our own “Trojan” error by the Spirit of Truth (Jn 16:13; 17:17: Php 2:13).  He also stands ready to extricate all who humbly seek Him.  "The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way —?Ps 25:9.  We are called to examine our faith if it be true" — 2Co 13:5? What’s taught from pulpits must be diligently compared with Scripture to assure it’s not the cargo of a wooden horse.  He is gracious to forgive and correct.  "For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation" —?Ps 149:4.

Let’s pray: Father, in Jesus name, I ask You to protect me from the evil one.  Expose every error and deception I may have embraced; forgive me.  I want only to know and follow the true Gospel; the whole counsel of Your Word.  Show me Your ways, Your paths.  Lead me into all truth.  YOU are the God of my salvation; I will seek You only.  Establish my heart in Truth so I might remain faithful.  Holy Father, Your eyes are in every place beholding the evil and the good.  You know all, Father.  You know my heart, my mind and actions.  Deliver me from every deceiving “Trojan horse” and all error.  I praise and thank You, Lord ...
