Joint Pain


Relief without medicines

Joint pain is often caused by the same factors responsible for creaking  necks — uric acid and/or sodium crystals (possibly other inorganic minerals) between the #1 (Atlas) vertebrae and the skull’s base.  The mega protein, highly acidic, animal-based, standard American diet causes many ill health effects.  (1) It draws down of the body’s bone-stored, base mineral reserves of iron, calcium, magnesium, etc. to neutralize the acid.  This leads to bone thinning osteoporosis.  (2) It creates a body environment that encourages pathogenic activity (sickness and disease).  (3) Uric acid can precipitate into crystals, stiffening cells, tissues, organs and joints.  Ultimately, an acidic diet leads to premature aging, increased disability and a shortened lifespan.

When uric acid or sodium chloride crystals invade joint tissue (bursae) it becomes stiff, inflamed and painful; it’s called bursitis.  These crystals and other inorganic debris (perhaps from impure drinking water) can also form on the bones.  When this occurs on a joint’s working surfaces it causes painful gout or arthritis.  The standard symptom-treating remedies are anti-inflammatory drugs and pain killers — with major health-jeopardizing downsides.  Symptoms abate, but the root problem continues to worsen.

A healthier way is to alkalize the body by reducing or eliminating from the diet substances which create acidity: alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, animal  protein, dairy, refined sugar, soft drinks, etc.; also by increasing the intake of alkaline foods.  Eat a wide variety of colorful fruits and veggies, supplemented by plant-derived green drinks (barley or wheat grass, spirulina, chlorella, teas, etc).  Dark, leafy-green veggies such as spinach, kale, brocolli, romaine lettuce, parsley, watercress and cilantro are excellent.  They can be served raw in salads, liquefied by a blender or their juice extracted and sipped.  Another proven way to alkalize the body is to drink a weak solution of vinegar and water.  Three times/day, add 1-2 teaspoons of live apple cider* vinegar to 8 oz of distilled or “RO” water and drink on an empty stomach (a teaspoon of raw* honey may be added).  If joint pain is caused by over-acidity, these measures will bring healthy and permanent relief (*very important).
