Spring alive!

L-I-F-E ... the defining difference between being saved and lost.  Countless volumes could nere do justice to the marvel and blessedness of salvation, though their combined testimony would distill to the divine gifting of eternal life ... a mind and sense-eclipsing state of grace which only the ability and power of God could conceive or impart.  Variously likened to God’s Spirit, Word or water, we sing about it in such terms: “I’ve got a river of life flowing out from me / It makes the lame to walk and the blind to see / Opens prison doors / Sets the captives free / I’ve got a river of life flowing out from me / Spring up O well / Within my soul / Spring up O well / And make me whoa-o-ole / Spring up O well / And give to me / new life / a-bun-dant-ly.” (Jn 4:10,11; 7:38; etc.)

Beloved, it's FAR past time for God’s redeemed to robustly embrace that eternal LIFE unique to His own.  We therefore beseech you dear one in Christ, to fully wake up to God’s life in you.  Shake off the lethargy; the languor, indifference, apathy and dullness of mind characterizing the dead.  Come alive in Christ! (Col 2:6)  He exhorts us to not sleep, but be alert (1Thes 5:6). Nor are we to squander this holy gift of LIFE in traipsing after the treasures, trinkets and trash of this world. We’re to invest in Kingdom commodities: causes and concerns the Creator of life deems holy, righteous, fruit-bearing and eternal.

Have you glanced up from today’s busyness to see or hear God’s clock jangling off the shelf as it ticks away closing minutes of this age?  Through a biblical lens, the time of man’s rule and free salvation appears nearly over.  Precious one, if there ever was a time for alertness and to “snap to” ... it is NOW.  Watchfulness is an order and scripture is replete with warnings to watch, beware; to not be deceived (Lk 21:8) — especially so in these end times when satanic fraud cavorts within “sanctuaries.”  We’re called to vigilance (1Pet 5:8) to prayer (Eph 6:18) to get about Kingdom work while there’s yet time.  Our stewardship of LIFE must soon be accounted for.  Are we ready for the 2Cor 5:10 audit?

God’s provided all a believer needs to live this day victoriously as we each get about the work of the ministry (Eph 4:12).  Let us therefore allow Him to boldly live through us that we might retire with a heart-soothing, “well done.”  Let’s spring alive in Christ!
