Our God Reigns!

Rejoice, you child of the Most High God!  The world might shake shudder and tremble, but His Word remains fixed — stable and unmoved as the Almighty Himself.  In view of His wrath to come, let us be joyous and exceedingly thankful in our small affliction; also, overwhelmingly grateful for God’s mercy and lovingkindness.  Oh how blessed we are to be known of Him and secured in Christ!  "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power" (Col 2:9,10).  Hallelujah!

Astronomers recently pointed the Hubble Space Telescope at the darkest sector of sky.  Know what they found?  A panorama of light!  Not from singular stars, but galaxies.  A multitude of clusters, each composed of billions of stars.  Oh, how awesome is our Creator-God!  His power, wisdom, light and might know no bounds — nor does His loving concern for each of us.  In our blackest hour, God’s light never dims.  We can face the most threatening circumstances ... knowing that our God reigns.

Many today are concerned about losing their business, job, home or fortune.  But know this: our God reigns! Our Father is in oversight of everything happening in all His creation — right down to the very last galaxy, star, planet, nation, state, county, township, village, clan, family and soul.  Down to YOU and your circumstances.  He knows of your needs, your misdeeds; your fears and foibles.  He also promises "... I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" (Heb 13:5b).  I.e.: ministry readership just dropped by 25%; donations are down to less than 10% of basic needs and “tent-making” means are sparse.  But our God faithfully provides.  This month He sold our beat up car (180,000 miles and no door handles) for a few hundred and we redeemed coins to pay the bills.  PTL!

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged ... God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (De 31:8; Ps 46:1b).  Trust Him!  God will never fail you.
