The Lord reigneth!
“Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth" (1Chron 16:30-32).
Dawn’s faithful outburst of praise as painted across the heavens is a morning call to worship He Who reigns upon high. Daily affirming victory over darkness, His celestial canvass infuses with divine promise, drawing from our hearts a reverential awe of the Almighty — Who, in His great love and mercy, guides and provides so bountifully. Humbled by Holiness before His throne, we inwardly prostrate ourselves while singing praises to His name ... lavishing upon Him wholly insufficient and inadequate gratitude for Who He is, what He’s done; for what He is doing this very day ... this hour.
Because our God reigns!
"From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’S name is to be praised” (Ps 113:3). Sol’s spectacular bedding in the west bears further testimony of God’s faithfulness, extravagantly entreating every heart to bow in obeisance and to worship Him Who spoke it all into being. Morning, noon and at day’s end; Monday through Friday, from the first to the thirtieth; January through December ... year upon year. He never changes. His Word is His will and His mind is made up. Vastly more valuable than silver, platinum or gold, is every divine utterance — eclipsed only by its living embodiment in Christ Jesus; the Dayspring of dawn and the Omega at dusk. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (Jn 1:1-3).
Oh saint! Let us pour out unbridled praises to our Savior, Lord and Almighty, ever-reigning God. “Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.” (Ps 113:1,2). With abandonment, let's fall before Him in reverential fear and worship ... honoring Him by allowing Christ, the Dayspring, to fill and shine through us today. Be encouraged in the reminder that “our God reigns” — regardless of present circumstances.
