Noonday Prayer

There is none like You, O God
Who has hung the sun to warm
and light our way.
You give hope and sustenance
to all and gift with the Spirit
those who call upon Your salvation.

I worship You at noonday my Lord
and seek Your voice
to guide me through this day.
Your angels encamp about this
child and Your unseen Spirit
dwells within my heart.

Only in Your strength, only by
Your wisdom and surely by
Your grace, I can overcome.
Lead me in the way I should go
that the day’s remaining hours
will glorify Your name, My Lord.

Holy, awesome and righteous
is my loving Father Whose
mercy and justice prevails forever.
Bless Your child this day, my God
with fruit born of Your love
and victory befitting Your power.
