Circling inside a large and nearly filled flower pot sunk into our garden, were two beetles.  Round and around they went; a leader and a follower vainly looking for an exit in that two inch high wall. Their dilemma became clear when I saw the remains of two more that had fallen in and likely died of starvation and exhaustion.  I then scooped out the survivors and set them free in the garden ... and it got me to thinking.

Here’s a type of man’s garden fall from grace and futile attempts to save himself; to accomplish what only the unseen hand of God, by His Spirit, can do (Zech 4:6).
