Aphids, Mites & Mildew!

Diligence notwithstanding, I cannot (for long) keep our two potted roses free from aphids, mites or mildew, and it’s not merely a matter of perfectionism. It’s plant life or death!  Left unchecked, these and other enemies will do them in.  So, I’ve been cautiously “punishing” the plants with increasingly stronger measures.  Which also could kill them!

So it is with sin: left unchecked, it leads to death.  Paradoxically, Christians, though saved by Christ from being “sinners,” yet sin.  Nonetheless, unrepentant sin still exacts a price and God has increasingly stronger remedies.
