There are no ugly trees!

While recently touring the premises with a visitor, I pointed to a sapling I’d been nurturing — characterizing it as ugly.  Immediately, our environmentally-bent guest retorted, “There are no ‘ugly’ trees!”  Also unspoken, was the fact that in this high, arid desert, anything green is beautiful.

Those words have stuck in my mind like a cactus barb and beg to be sermonized.  I.E. for a Christian, the only “ugly” should be sin’s evil.  There ARE no ugly trees, weeds, seasons, or people.  God said, all of His creation is “very good” (Gen 1:31).  Let us always be thankful & appreciative.  Praise Him!
