Greenhouse Christians

The pink dianthus in our mini-greenhouse have been in glorious bloom for months and planters of salad greens look like seed catalog photos.  While protected from the elements they appear bullet-proof.  However, once removed from the shelter’s womb for servicing, they droop like puppy-dog tails. They can’t handle the stresses of direct sun, wind and chill before being “hardened.”  They would soon perish.

So it can be with “greenhouse Christians” whose heads might be filled with theological expositions — but their faith has not yet been refined by the fiery trials of life.
