Lessons from the garden

Although we marked certain summer plants for “greenhouse salvation” from a wintery death, their future is not guaranteed.  Many uncertainties lie between selection and survival: light, heat, water, insects, diseases, etc.  Though they’ve been selected, some will never see the victory of Spring.

So it is with every soul born into this world: all are “called” by God for salvation — but that in no-wise guarantees being spared His wrath.  For all, a death sentence stands between being called and eternal life with Him.  However, unlike plants, we’re offered a sure hope.  Jesus, death’s Victor!
